Reactive Diluent

Reactive Diluent

New products

Reactive diluents are substances that lower the viscosity of resins like epoxy resins for easier processing and handling, while also becoming chemically integrated into the final cured material.

Unlike solvents, they chemically react during the curing process, becoming part of the polymer network, which can improve properties such as flexibility and impact resistance, although it may slightly decrease thermal resistance depending on the type and concentration.

There are three types of reactive diluents glycidyl ethers, Vinyl ethers, and Acrylic Esters.

RPL deals into the Glycidyl ether based reactive diluents which are made of phenol and C12-C14 which are designed to reduce viscosity and improve workability in epoxy systems.
